remember that your new year doesn’t have to start out perfect on day 1 in order for the rest of it to be beautiful. enough of this “setting the tone for the year″. sometimes things suck, and if they happen to suck on january 1 that isn’t a sign that the rest of the year is going to be bad too. like a good novel, sometimes the hero has to go through some dark stuff on page 1 to get to the glowing conclusion on page 365. one day out of the year will not and does not dictate how the next 300 odd days are going to be lived. things change, you change. a beautiful adventure awaits.
